To the pioneers we have met, and the ones we have yet to meet,
Hilltree started with a camera. Jesse picked one up years ago and discovered that the most compelling stories were already unfolding in the towns and organizations around him, waiting for someone to notice. Blake came to the work from the other direction, building the systems and platforms that let a good idea reach more people than its founders ever imagined.
Somewhere along the way, we realized we were drawn to the same kind of person. It might be the school director who opens a campus for children the system overlooked, or the builder who holds his crew to a standard higher than anyone asked for. We call these people pioneers, and the Gulf South is full of them.
Pioneers deserve creative partners who take their mission as seriously as they do. For too long, that kind of partnership felt out of reach for the organizations we grew up around. Hilltree exists to close that distance.
Our name comes from perspective. From the top of a hill you can see further, and a tree offers shelter while it grows. We hope every partner finds both with us.
